Technology

Bishop Stang High School has over 250 state-of-the-art computers on the Academic Network. 

  • Every classroom has a minimum of one desktop computer.
  • There are Thirty-three (33) desktops in the 2nd floor computer lab.
  • The library has Twenty-four (24) desktops and twelve “wireless” Windows XP notebook computers.  
  • The faculty lounge has six (6) desktops and a laser jet printer.
  • The biology lab consists of sixteen (16) desktops with flat screen monitors.
  • There are 6 desktops in the “writing lab.”
  • The 1st floor has a “rolling lab” with eighteen (18) Windows XP wireless notebook computers.
  • The 2nd floor has two “rolling labs.” One has twenty-four (24) Windows XP wireless notebook computers and the other has sixteen (16) Windows XP wireless notebook computers and a networked printer.
  • The science department on the 3rd floor has a “rolling lab” with sixteen (16) Windows XP wireless notebook computers and a networked printer.

 

Other media equipment:

  • Every classroom in the building is equipped with LCD projectors and speakers.
  • The computer lab is equipped with a DVD player, VCR, speakers and a SmartBoard. The English department has a permanently mounted SmartBoard in room 101. There are eight portable Mimio devices that convert our whiteboards into electronic whiteboards.  
  • There are 14 Classpads by RMEducation used by faculty in the SNAP (Stang Notebook Application Program). Classpads are wireless interactive whiteboards.
